Description
Brown's Camp is one of the closest riding areas to the Portland Metro area. Unfortunately, that also means is one of the most highly trafficked riding area. It's a good place to get out to ride when you don't want to trek for hours to get somewhere, but don't expect pristine trails and perfect conditions.
Trail types range from logging roads to more technical motorcycle-access only trails.
The Brown's Camp area is actually a few staging areas, including Roger's Camp, that people commonly refer to as "Brown's Camp", even though Brown's Camp proper is a particular staging area and campsite within that region.
Location
Tillamook State Forest. Take Hwy 6 West from Portland to milepost 33
Schedule
Brown's Camp is open year round, but not all staging areas (specifically, the Brown's Camp staging area)
Accomodations
Campsites have picnic tables, fire rings, loading ramps, and some outhouses.
Costs & Fees
Campsites may require an overnight use fee.
Rules
99db sound limit. U.S. Forest Service approved spark arrestors required. Oregon ATV permit (OHV tag) required. Oregon ATV Safety Education requirements apply.
